Grants for Regional Leadership Collaborations

Background

The INDIANA LEADERSHIP ASSOCIATION (ILA)
is a statewide organization that strives to foster and facilitate best practices of leadership in Indiana and its people by connecting, supporting, and sustaining leadership development programs, initiatives, and leadership activities in Indiana Communities.

In addition, we facilitate regional collaborations and provide resources to amplify the work of leadership.  It is with this mission in mind that the ILA has initiated grants for REGIONAL LEADERSHIP COLLABORATIONS.

Each of the five ILA regions have opportunities to access $2500.00 to support collaborative efforts in which ILA Board Members and organizational members play a convening, facilitation, or participatory role, the benefits of which will have community-wide impact.

Eligibility Criteria

  •  501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, faith-based organizations, or units of government based in Indiana are eligible to apply.  The lead organization must be an ILA member to apply.

  • Eligible projects/programs should encourage regional networking, promote the event, have ILA information available, and support ILA’s mission and membership.

  • Eligible projects/programs may not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, or religious affiliation.

  • Eligible projects/programs must be a collaborative effort with an ILA Member with clearly defined roles.  At least one ILA Board Member should be directly involved in the use of the granted funds, assist with planning, serve as a consultant, attend, speak at the event, and/or generally promote the benefits of membership in ILA.

  • Eligible projects/programs should be innovative and provide creative solutions to community issues, encouraging organizations to “think outside the box.”

  • Eligible projects/programs must have a clearly defined operating plan, evaluation plan, and plan for sustainability.  Further, they should meet the published grant guidelines and ILA Mission. (See attachments)

  • Eligible projects/programs must be new or an expansion of an already successful project or program targeted to building best practices in leadership in the community and Indiana.

  • Please allow a minimum of 30 days lead time for a decision by the grant committee to be made.
